Hawaii is a vacation destination offering a diverse range of activities from swimming with dolphins, watching whales, or discovering lush botanical gardens with greenery that will not be seen anywhere else in the world. For this reason, it has become one of the most popular vacation destinations for families. The Hawaiian Islands have also come to be known as one of the most romantic places which make it a popular honeymoon destination. Here is just a taste of some of the activities that you must try while on your Hawaiian vacation:

1.       The first thing that every visitor to the island should take part in is the welcome services offered by many of the top hotels which include a lei and genuine hula girls with the ambience of Hawaiian music.

2.       Learning about the Hawaiian volcanoes cannot be complete without a trip to the local volcano park, which will include a tour of some of Islands most fascinating components. Some of these tours offer trips to local active volcanoes. There are over three-hundred thousand acres of volcanoes available for day-trips and those visiting the islands to view.

3.       Everyone who ventures to the Hawaiian Islands has the expectation of visiting some of the local beaches. For this reason, no trip is complete without a trip to the sand and surf!

4.       An authentic Luau brings a touch of culture to the relaxing vacation. What is the point of going on vacation, if not to experience some part of the culture which you are visiting? At an authentic luau, you can enjoy food, music, dance and authentic Hawaiian experience while learning about the Polynesian culture.

5.       Whale watching is a must for everyone visiting the Hawaiian Islands. Maui has some of the largest populations of Humpback whales in the world, and this alone is a great reason to visit! Dolphins are an incredible mammal and children and adults alike are enthralled with the idea of swimming with the playful beings. Oahu is home to the Seal Life Park in which guests can experience everything from penguins to dolphins with daily passes and special experiences such as one-on-one time with the animals.

10.   Waimea Canyon is the pacific answer to the Grand Canyon. Located on the island of Kauai, this canyon boasts that which can be compared to the huge valleys and cliffs located within the Grand Canyon. Check out the many tours offered by hotels and companies throughout the Island on a variety of vehicles.

A Hawaiian vacation is a great way to relax on the long beaches on Maui, or learn a new sport like surfing. We often forget about these wonderful activities that remain off the resorts that many choose as their home-away-from-home. The important thing is to experience at least a couple of these wonderful activities, before venturing back to real life.

    I’ve never been to Hawaii but I will, in the near future. We live in Europe and there are plenty of extremely beautiful and nice places to visit or even maybe spend your honey moon there? There are plenty of reasons to enjoy the vacation of your dreams but you have referred to the best of them, especially when talking about a vacation in Hawaii.

    I’ve grown up in Hawaii, but never visited Hawaii’s Volcanoes National Park until recently. It definitely deserves to make this list. I took a hiking tour and absolutely loved it.
